That’s How You Know (Video plus lyrics) | # | General, Disney, Quotes, Internet, Videos — jimmybop @ 10:53 pm

This is a song that will be stuck in your head all day…. because that is what happened to me today…. Awesome movie, awesome song… check it out, “That’s How You Know” From Disney’s latest movie “Enchanted”:

Lyrics (note Lyrics are for Soundtrack version of the song and not this clip… but still the same with out the comments during the song):

Giselle:
How does she know you love her?
How does she know she’s yours?

Man:
How does she know that you love her?

Giselle:
How do you show her you love her?

Both:
How does she know that you really, really, truly love her?
How does she know that you love her?
How do you show her you love her?
How does she know that you really, really, truly love her?

Giselle:
It’s not enough to take the one you love for granted
You must remind her, or she’ll be inclined to say…
“How do I know he loves me?”
(How does she know that you love her?
How do you show her you love her?)
“How do I know he’s mine?”
(How does she know that you really, really, truly love her?)

Well does he leave a little note to tell you you are on his mind?
Send you yellow flowers when the sky is gray? Hey!
He’ll find a new way to show you, a little bit everyday
That’s how you know, that’s how you know!
He’s your love…

Man:
You’ve got to show her you need her
Don’t treat her like a mind reader
Each day do something to need her
To believe you love her

Giselle:
Everybody wants to live happily ever after
Everybody wants to know their true love is true…
How do you know he loves you?
(How does she know that you love her?
How do you show her you need her?)
How do you know he’s yours?
(How does she know that you really, really, truly-)

Well does he take you out dancin’ just so he can hold you close?
Dedicate a song with words in
Just for you? Ohhh!

All:
He’ll find his own way to tell you
With the little things he’ll do
That’s how you know
That’s how you know!

Giselle:
He’s your love
He’s your love…

That’s how you know
(la la la la la la la la)
He loves you
(la la la la la la la la)
That’s how you know
(la la la la la la la la)
It’s true
(la la la la la)

Because he’ll wear your favorite color
Just so he can match your eyes
Rent a private picnic
By the fires glow-oohh!

All:
His heart will be yours forever
Something everyday will show
That’s how you know
(That’s how you know)
That’s how you know
(That’s how you know)
That’s how you know
(That’s how you know)
That’s how you know
(That’s how you know)
That’s how you know
(That’s how you know)
That’s how you know
(That’s how you know)
That’s how you know!

Giselle:
He’s your love…

Man:
That’s how she knows that you love her
That’s how you show her you love her

Giselle:
That’s how you know…
That’s how you know…
He’s your love…

Keep Moving Foward | # | General, Disney, Quotes — jimmybop @ 11:42 am

“Meet the Robinsons” has just be released to DVD this week and had a very wonderful quote at the end. I was very excited when I saw this in the theater and I am sure I will be excited when I see it again soon.

Here is the quote by Walt as it was in the movie:

“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

Here is the actual full quote that I randomly found somewheres online months ago:

Theres really no secret about our approach. We keep moving forward opening up new doors and doing new things because were curious. And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. Were always exploring and experimenting. At WED, we call it Imagineering the blending of creative imagination with technical know-how.

Quote of the week | # | General, Quotes — jimmybop @ 11:15 pm

Walking out of work I heard a father say to their child:
You will do what I say, or I will put you in the Dungeon

Always make wonder what their home life is like…….

someone gets it! | # | General, Quotes, Archive, Links, Internet — jimmybop @ 1:01 pm

Wow…. someone out there gets it…. This quote comes from the parents of the 16 year old girl who went over seas to try to meet a boy:

“The problem is not technology, it’s not the telephone, it’s not the computers. The problem is communication between parents and children,” Katherine’s father, Terry Lester, told ABC12’s Bill Harris.

A lot of people are pointing to myspace.com as the culprit, the “bad guy.” “I don’t agree with that. I think that myspace.com, when used for its intended purpose, for people to keep in touch with each other, I think it’s a great tool,” said Katherine’s stepmother, Krista Lester.

If I gave puge tuna… I’d be an abomination! I’m late because I had to go to the store and get peanut butter because all we have is… is.. STINKING TUNA!”

Happy 50th Disneyland | # | General, Disney, Quotes — jimmybop @ 2:36 am

50 years ago today, the world became a better place. Disneyland opened to the world July 17th, 1955 with a small speech by Walt Disney himself:

“To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past…and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America…with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”
(Audio Clip can be heard here: http://www.disneydreamer.com/DLOpen.htm)
Walt Disney, Disneyland Opening day July 17th, 1955

I’m sure there will be many many news stories publish in Sunday papers all over the world, so check your local newspaper or just search google like I did, but the one I like the best so far is this one: “Congressional honors for Disneyland” The Orange County Register.

1984 in 2005 | # | General, Quotes, Archive — jimmybop @ 3:32 am

I just found this article By H.D.S. Greenway, and published in the Boston Globe and thought it was pretty decent… It takes the ideas brought up in 1984 by George Orwell and applies them to the current situation. Here is the link to the article:

Please read it there, if the link stops working please click the more button and read it here on my site.

Douglas Adams on Letterman | # | General, Quotes, Archive, h2g2 — jimmybop @ 1:10 am

So I was flipping through the channels on my TV the other night and what do I find, Douglas Adams on the Letterman (now, this is old letterman back when he hosted ‘Late Night’ on NBC, now hosted by Conan). He was on the show promoting his new book, none other then ‘So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish‘. So the interview was really cool, I’ve never seen a live interview with Adams before so it was pretty cool. During the interview, Adams told a true story that actually happened to him, which he wrote into this 4th book. It was a really funny story, so I thought I would share it to you. This is an excerpt out of the 4th book in Chapter 20.

This is a converstaion between Author and a female friend, Also note that in England biscuits=cookies

———————————————-

“I’ll tell you a story,” said Arthur.

“Good.”

They found a patch of grass which was relatively free of couples actually lying on top of each other and sat and watched the stunning ducks and the low sunlight rippling on the water which ran beneath the stunning ducks.

“A story,” said Fenchurch, cuddling his arm to her.

“Which will tell you something of the sort of things that happen to me. It’s absolutely true.”

Tom Green USO Iraq Tour | # | General, Quotes, Links, Internet — jimmybop @ 1:58 am

I know its kinda late to post about this since the thing I am about to comment on is dated over a year ago, but it is better late then never.

So I was randomly searching the internet today and came across this:
TomGreen.com Tom Green USO Iraq Tour.

It is Comedian Tom Green’s story of his trip over seas with the USO in January 2004. It is a great story to go and read.

There are many great stories told of interactions he and his buddy Glen had with the troops. One of the best parts I like from the page is this:

“The pilot got on the headset… “So I loved you in Joe Dirt.” I respond, “Uhh I wasn’t in that one, that was David Spade.” And all the guy’s start laughing, “I’ve been waiting to do that all day!” It’s moments like this that make one pause. You’re flying over the Iraqi desert into Baghdad with reserves from the Illinois National Guard. Your above Iraq laughing and talking about regular shit, like Joe Dirt and Road Trip, and American Idol, and Jackass, and Freddy Got Fingered for crying out loud. And it hits you that these young enlisted men and women are just regular young MTV-watching folks. They are ordinary young American’s fulfilling an extraordinary duty. It’s the regular-kid-next-door-I-pod-blaring-Christina Aguilera side of the American soldier that you don’t often see at home. Relatability is a surprise that makes what they do that much more amazing. And you find yourself feeling proud to be defended by them.”

So yeah, go over and check it out. Support our troops!

science-fiction Disney College Program News Story | # | General, Disney, Quotes, Archive, wdwcp — jimmybop @ 9:15 pm

*EDIT 06/28/05* I’ve been noticing that I have been getting a bunch of search hits to my site about the Disney College Program and they have almost all lead to this post…. if your looking for general information about the Walt Disney World College Program, check out my WDWCP Category here on this blog, as this post is just a badly written “News” story. *END OF EDIT*
———————————————————————
So I finally got my desktop computer hooked back up in my room (just moved outta my college dorm room). So today I’m going to post a news story PRINTED by the New York Daily News in the GOSSIP column. The reason why I’m choosing to post this is the humor that it brings to me and other Disney College Program Alumni who read it (I do admit it does anger me a little, but you still got to laugh at it). Its fun to see how someone can take tiny little truths and stretch it out to something this big and try to pass it off as a valid story. As you can see with the writing, there is really no point to the article, it just tries to point out various things, but it has no goals to it.

Now, People who have come here looking for info on the Disney World College Program PLEASE take this article with a grain of salt. Do not let this article scare you away from doing the college program. All of the statements in the article are more then likely from a former cast member who has nothing better to do then to rag about their old job and make it sound like the worse thing in the world.

As for alumni of the program, don’t nag on me for posting this. You have to show the good along with the bad of the program (no matter how far stretched the bad is).
