Just a quick post as I have to be awake in 6 hours… Check out the banner now at the top of my page for “Dream on Silly Dreamer“. It is a independant film about the death of hand drawing feature length animation at the Disney Studio’s in Florida. Very very intresting!

So I am writing this post apologizing for the recent lack of posts on this blog. I am currently getting ready to move down to Florida for the small semester for the Walt Disney World College Program. All of this packing is starting to make me go crazy, trying to remember everything that I will need.
But as a reminder, I do bookmark some sites with delicious, and those in turn show up in my RSS feed. So if you subscribe to my XML feed (or with any of the options you currently see in the upper left corner of my blog) you will get these delicious bookmarks in my feed (and I do try to bookmark a few things each day).
And as I am traveling, check out Wikitravel. If your going on a trip soon, or have some good knowledge of some destination, check out this page.
Thanks for stopping by, please comeback soon. And sign my guest map (press the button on the lefthand side, right under my photo) and/or leave a comment. =)
So have you ever been siting at some random computer at work or in a computer lab wishing that you could be listening to all that wonderful music that you had just downloaded the night before on your computer at home? Well wish no more, there is a program that will do just that. I came across a cool program this week in some computer magazine. The program is called Orb. With the program, you pick audio, video and photo files/folders on your computer and then the program will allow you to access these selected files/folders from any computer connecting to the internet (with the usual restrictions due to firewalls and what not). The best part about this is that the remote computer requires no additional software download. All you need is a web browser and media player or real player. The program acts as a sever on your home computer and streams the audio to the remote computer that your on. You can even use the play lists that you have set up at home.
So far this program as worked great. I havent had the chance to test it out away form home yet. But over my wireless network at home it works great. I’ve used my 4 year old laptop and my Pocket PC. According to the website, the program can be accessed over web enabled cellphones also.
Other thing that I have found that you can do is view a high quality stream of any webcams that are hooked up to your computer, and if you have a tuner card, you can watch television remotely.
And best of all it is FREE!!!!! note: on some reviews on other website, they state there is a cost involved to use this program. But since they published their review, the company switched to other means of income such as subscription services for other things. but there is no major advertising that interfears with your media.
So go download it and try it yourself. And even a cool option to download it is via bittorrent. =)
